The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Travel Card (ABTC) App, known as the Virtual ABTC, serves as an official tool provided by the APEC Business Mobility Group.

This app represents a modern approach to utilizing the ABTC, integrating the scheme into the digital landscape of global travel. It aims to enhance efficiency, convenience, and overall user experience for cardholders from fully participating APEC Member Economies.

The Virtual ABTC allows cardholders to access their ABTC directly from their smart devices. This digital version complements the traditional physical card, facilitating immediate usage upon entering APEC Economies.

Key features of the Virtual ABTC include:

 <li>Real-time data: The app provides real-time updates on the status of the ABTC, reflecting any changes to applications instantly. This includes notifications for:</li>
 <ul>
 <li>Pre-Clearance approvals for entry into an Economy;</li>
 <li>Expiration of the ABTC;</li>
 <li>Renewal of the cardholder's passport.</li>
 </ul>
 
 <li>Secure Sign on: Approved cardholders receive an email containing a unique token and a link to download the app, ensuring secure access.</li>
</ul>

It is important to note that there are no alterations to existing application or entry procedures for ABTC holders. The Virtual ABTC functions as a digital equivalent, required to be presented at international ports per instructions from Port Officials, whether in fast track lanes or when entering an Economy.
